The El Paso Corn Festival will be held on September 9th, 10th, and 11th 2010 in downtown El Paso Illinois. If you haven't been to our festival before, you are in for a real treat. We have free entertainment every night along with a huge Carnival and approximately 60 vendors in our tents. Come by on Saturday morning for one of the best parades in Central Illinois with over 100 entries every year. 2010 Headliner set
Bringing another unforgettable performance to El Paso, the headlining act for the 2010 Corn Festival is Central Illinois own HEAD EAST. For more than 25 years, HEAD EAST has appeared in more than 5000 concerts from St. Louis to Seattle & Dallas to Detroit. HEAD EAST has performed in every major city & market in North America in stadiums like the L.A. Coliseum, Arrowhead Stadium and The Cotton Bowl, to name a few. "Save my life, I'm going down for the last time" is one of the all time classic lines in rock history, giving credence to the claim the "NEVER BEEN ANY REASON" is indeed the Rock and Roll National Anthem. Friday night entertainment set
Another great lineup of entertainment has been set for Corn Festival patrons on Friday September 10. Returning from a 2008 performance is THE CATTLE BANDITS, playing their brand of country music on the Main Stage from 7 - 9 pm. Perennial favorites The Bygones will play the Rick Cox Memorial Street Dance in the alley behind Topy's from 9:30 - Midnight. The Bygones feature El Paso native Tom Haas on Bass and vocals More entertainment news coming soon as the final schedule is close to being finished.

Armband Sales for Unlimited Rides
Arm Bands will once again be on sale for unlimited rides at the Carnival for Thursday and Friday nights. Armbands are good for either Thursday or Friday evening from 6 - 10 pm. Prices this year are $14.00 in advance and $16.00 at the Carnival. They can be purchased at any of the following local merchants:
Food, Food, and More Food
No one goes away hungry if they come to our festival. Between the Carnival food, food in the tents, and the three dinners served in the library park each night there are plenty of options for lunch, dinner, and everything else. On Thursday night we have the local Fireman's Steak Fry, Friday night is the Kiwanis Spaghetti dinner, and on Saturday it is the Baptist Church Chicken dinner. In the tents we always have Uncle Bob's ice cream, the Lutheran booth with more fresh pies than you can imagine, and the local Boy Scouts cooking up pork chops all day and night! |
